چکیده

Extremely low frequency electromagnetic fields (ELF-EMFs) are non-ionizing, low-energy, fields, capable of inducing biological effects such as cell migration, proliferation and differentiation, cytokine growth factors expression, NO signaling alteration. In vitro experiments have shown an interaction ELF-EMFs with all the phases wound healing. This in knowledge could be applied clinical practice to chronic wounds, which result a deregulation Our study was conducted on Human Dermal Fibroblasts isolated from 20 patients venous ulcers. One punch collected ulcer, while another healthy skin site. were cultured DMEM tissue culture plate. After 24h cells incubated presence Pulsed field (PEMF). addition, parallel performed without PEMF exposure. Cells exposed for 3 different experimental times. For each exposure condition, fibroblasts’ evaluated using images acquired inverted microscope. The effect of pulsed electromagnetic fields on secondary skin wound healing: an experimental study.

A variety of pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMFs) have already been experimentally used, in an effort to promote wound healing. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of short duration PEMF on secondary healing of full thickness skin wounds in a rat model. Full thickness skin wounds, 2 by 2 cm, were surgically inflicted in two groups of male Wistar rats, 24 animals each. I...

Effects of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field and Swimming Exercise on Rats with Experimental Sciatic Nerve Injury

[Purpose] The current study aimed to reveal the therapeutic effects of a pulsed electromagnetic field and swimming exercises on rats with experimental sciatic nerve injury, which was induced with crush-type neuropathy model damage, using electrophysiological methods. [Subjects] In the current study, the sample consisted of 28 adult male Wistar albino rats. [Methods] The rats were randomized int...

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Assisted in vitro Electroporation: A Pilot Study

Electroporation is a phenomenon occurring due to exposure of cells to Pulsed Electric Fields (PEF) which leads to increase of membrane permeability. Electroporation is used in medicine, biotechnology, and food processing. Recently, as an alternative to electroporation by PEF, Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Fields (PEMF) application causing similar biological effects was suggested. Since induced electri...
